In a very candid and vulnerable interview with radio personality, Angie Martinez, Nicki proves this to be true, opening up about her breakup with boyfriend of 15 years, Safaree "SB" Samuels.

During the on air conversation the 'Bed of Lies' rapper dishes in detail about how SB wasn't just some dude "off the street" but instead someone she pictured marrying and starting a family with.

"People are married and have 3 children in the amount of time we were together...so this is different. This is the real thing."

In the interview, Nicki also gets emotional when speaking on her current state of mind regarding the break up saying, "I don't even know how I'm going to function without this person in my life. I haven't even lived my life as a famous person without him."

But with all the heartbreak surrounding Nicki's success, could Meek Mill be her hood knight in shining armor?

When the topic of discussion switched to her friendship with the rapper, the Head Barbz had nothing but great things to say and also alluded to possibly already being off the market.

"You know what's funny? I have never been single for the last 15 years of my life. I don't even know if I'm single now, which is weird too...My first relationship overlapped into my second relationship, and then now [smiles].
