Is J. Cole Engaged?

Could J. Cole be "on his way, on his way, on his way down"...the aisle of holy matrimony? Possibly folks!

News of the 'Crooked Smile' rapper recently broke of him possibly popping the question to his long time girlfriend, college sweetheart Melissa Heholt.

So what brought on the speculation? According to St. John's University's twitter account, J. Cole's alma mater, retweeted a message which read, "Congrats to @JColeNC on his engagement to his @StJohnsU college sweetheart #SJU #ColeWorld"

MTV reported trying to contact the rapper's reps for comment, but have yet to receive confirmation on the matter.

"If the news is indeed true, J. Cole will be the latest in a slew of young rappers who have decided to lock down their leading ladies. Wiz Khalifa announced his engagement to Amber Rose in March 2012 and the two have since tied the knot, while Big Sean recently proposed to his girlfriend, "Glee" star Naya Rivera after going public with their relationship back in the spring."

So A-Listers what do ya think? Are a congrats in order for J. Cole? We should all keep in mind that the above tweet was indeed retweeted, so who knows how accurate the information could be.

Hopefully this wasn't suppose to be a kept secret. If so, I imagine it to be a "Cole World" in J. Cole's camp for spilling the beans. Nevertheless if it's true, Congrats!!
