Mrs. Doubtfire, say it ain't so!!...
It's a sad day in the land of showbiz and for fans of actor/comedian Robin Williams, who was found dead earlier today from an apparent suicide.
According to a statement released by the Marin County Sheriff's Department, the Oscar winner was found in his Tiburon, Calif., home around noon unconscious and not breathing. The statement went on to say that the coroner "suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia."
Robin's rep confirmed the tragic news of his passing and also shed light on the actor's internal struggle with personal demons saying, "He has been battling severe depression as of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."
The legendary comedian was best known for bringing laughter into the homes of many with movies including 'Mrs. Doubtfire,' 'Good Will Hunting,' and two of my personal faves 'Hook' and Disney's 'Aladdin'.
Williams had been busy working on the upcoming movie 'Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb', which was expected to hit screens later this year. He's survived by his third wife, Susan Schneider, and three kids.
It's so sad to see someone so talented, whose known for bringing joy into the lives of so many, not be able to do the same for himself. Prayers are definitely up for his family and friends! R.I.P Robin!
