Just in time for this weeks NFC championship game, battery company Duracell has released an inspiring commercial about overcoming the toughest of challenges.
The advertisement features Seattle Seahawks Fullback, Derrick Coleman, who narrates his story of overcoming one of his biggest obstacles; being legally deaf.
"They told me it was over. But I've been deaf since I was 3, so I didn't listen..."
In the commercial you see the 23-year-old facing adversity throughout different parts of his life including being bullied, having conflicts with his schools coach, and not being drafted into the NFL.
Then at last, the good stuff happens! The Duracell campaign fast forwards to Coleman in a current day state finishing strong as a Seahawks football player.
Such a great and inspiring story for us all! And a reminder never to give up; even if/when nobody seems to be on your side.
